ABOUT THERAPY ROAD
Where humor can make the best of any situation.
A brand built on the idea that everyday chaos, overthinking spirals, and ridiculous moments are worth wearing.
We started Therapy Road on a simple idea. Life is messy. Stressful. Sometimes downright ridiculous. So why not laugh about it.
Our brand turns everyday struggles, overthinking spirals, and the funny moments in between into things we can all enjoy. Real apparel for the people quietly going through it and finding the joke anyway.
What we are not
We are not here to replace real therapy. If you need real help, please get real help.
We are here for the in between moments. The awkward laughs. The honest jokes. The walk to the appointment. The text you almost sent. The moments of self reflection that show up at 2am for no reason.
Every design is inspired by real life chaos. Bad decisions. Good intentions. Everything in between.
Whatever the latest spiral, whatever your particular issue is, the catalog probably has something for it. The point is to take what we all carry around and put it somewhere we can actually look at it. And laugh.
People who deal with hard stuff and still find the funny part. People who would rather joke about it than pretend it is not happening. People who think the best medicine is humor and the best coping mechanism is laughter.
If that sounds like you, you are already on the road.
Therapy Road. Because sometimes laughter is the best coping mechanism.
The artist behind the work
Ruben is the illustrator and designer behind every Therapy Road piece. 5 years drawing professionally. It began as a hobby to pass the time, but in 2020, it developed into something more. With the challenges and turmoil brought by the COVID pandemic, creating and drawing became his haven. He later decided that he wanted to share his creations with others; to share his outlook on life: It's important to have some lightheartedness and humor in our lives, and all of us need to find a haven or "therapy road". Based in Los Angeles.
His work has a recurring signature you'll see across the catalog: a winding road, a small Therapy Road sign planted somewhere in the scene, clouds drawn in a flat illustrated style. The taco resting in the desert. The book that becomes a campsite. The beer mug at the crossroads. The pieces are built like still life paintings, then printed on something you can throw in a bag and take to the airport.
What we ask from him: drawings that hold up the second time you see them.
What he asks from us: time to get them right.
